Zoran Semenović was born on January 4, 1974 in Melbourne. He studied at the Faculty of Agriculture in Novi Sad and in 2000 acquired the title of graduate engineer of agro economics. In 2018, he wrote a master's thesis on the topic of Financing municipal budgets on the example of the municipality of Šid and acquired the title of master economist. He actively participates in the socio-political life of the municipality of Sid and the Srem district since 2002. Since 2004, he has been a councilor in the Municipal Assembly of Šid for five terms. He is a participant in numerous social and humanitarian activities prepared by organizations in the municipality of Šid. In the period from 2002 to 2004, he was the Head of the organization of plant production in MI "Srem" in Šid. After that, in 2004, he moved to the position of assistant director of the public company for housing services and construction land in the municipality of Šid, and in 2008 he took over the position of director of this company. He performed the function of the Deputy Mayor of the Šid municipality from May 16, 2016 until August 21, 2020, when he was elected as Mayor of this municipality.
